Description of research / survey

To investigate the status of literacy education in compulsory schools and to answer the following questions:

  • How is reading instruction conducted in Icelandic schools?

  • Are there any indications that formal reading instruction will end in some particular cohort?

  • How is student reading comprehension trained?
